Yes, it is fine to start the course at any stage of the year. You can choose to have access to the course material for either 12 or 24 months which allows for plenty of flexibility. If you are planning to sit the exams, then we would advise you to decide when you would like to do so and how much time you can devote to your studies.

The Latin A Level builds on the materail covered in the GCSE, so we recommend that students follow the Latin GCSE before starting the A Level.

The Classical Civilisation and Ancient History GCSEs are ideal if you wish to begin exploring the ancient world. If you have already developed an enthusiam for these subjects, the modules offered could allow you to further expand your knowledge.

Whilst the traditional time to start GCSE and A Level courses is September, it is worth noting that we have students starting courses throughout the year. We also have many adult students who are following the courses out of interest and who are not, necessarily, planning to take the exams.

Our courses are comprehensive and include narrated PowerPoints, study questions with suggested answers, exam guidance and access to a recent past paper with examplar answers and marking scheme. Learners also benefit from the resources that have been compiled to encourage further research.

You will need access to reliable broadband and a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. We have made the courses accessible on a mobile for your convenience, however, we would recommend following the courses on larger devices for ease of use. You will also need to purchase the recommended textbook. Details of the textbook can be found on the subject page on this site.

When you purchase the course you will be sent an email with your username, password and a link to your Account Dashboard. Furthermore, an introductory video, located on the Dashboard, will show you how to easily navigate the course material.

The course fee does not include individual tutor support. Our courses provide exceptional, comprehensive material at an affordable cost. There are distance learning providers who offer tutor support and their fees reflect this. The support is usually via email.
