Latin GCSE - Prose and Verse Literature module update

The Prose A Literature material for the exams for 2027/28 is now available on the course dashboard.

The Latin GCSE (OCR) consists of the following 3 modules:

 

  • Language
  • Prose and Verse Literature (texts change every two years)
  • Literature and Culture (topics change every two years)

The language component is the largest of the three and needs to be completed before beginning components two and three. 

 

The material for Prose and Verse Literature module for the exams in 2027/28 is now available on the course dashboard. The material for the exams for 2026 is also available.

 

All the material for the topics for Literature and Culture is also available for the exams in 2026, 2027 and 2028.

On purchase, students have access to the entire course content.

Now available

The first three units (of a total of 9) are now available. We will be gradually adding the remaining units over the summer and autumn.

New additional sessions

New sessions focussing on higher mark questions with reference to exemplar answers

In these new sessions, Dr Beer guides the learner through a higher mark question with reference to exemplar answers. Students can further build and develop their exam technique, gaining confidence and valuable insights into how to achieve high marks.

 

All the Classics GCSE and A Level courses include these new sessions.
