New - German GCSE (Edexcel)
Our new Modern Language course, German GCSE (Edexcel) is now available.
German is one of the most widely spoken languages in Europe, with the German economy being the largest in Europe. Learning German can therefore help widen employment opportunities as well as providing an enriched cultural experience when travelling and/or working in Germany.
Learning German can provide unique insights into German culture and society. Developing your languague skills can help you to access, for example, German language literature, music, philosophy, TV and film.
Our GCSE course is presented by Ruth Ward, a highly experienced, PGCE qualified teacher. The comprehensive course material will build the learner’s skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening and will prepare them to succeed in the exams. The sessions are delivered via pre-recorded lessons and students will benefit from Ruth’s in-depth knowledge of the syllabus. The material is suitable for both beginners and those with some previous knowledge of German.
It is also worth noting that there is no requirement to take the exams on completion of the course. Many students follow our courses as they enjoy the structured approach, quality of the teaching and opportunity to build confidence and ability at their own pace.
Celebrating 5 years of Sulis Learning courses
In March 2021 we offered our first Classics GCSE courses and over the last five years we have extended our choice both of courses and modules.
To mark our 5th anniversary, Dr Beer is recording two talks which will be available exclusively to our students. To access the talks, log in, go to ‘My account’ and select the ‘News and Updates’ tab. The first talk, ‘Just how catastrophic for the republic was Cicero’s consulship?’ is now available. The second talk will be added this summer. We hope you enjoy these fascinating additions.*
Thank you to everyone who has followed one of our courses over the last 5 years.
If you would like to be notified of new courses or modules in the future, you may wish to subscribe to our newsletter below.
*Please note: these are additional recordings and are not part of a course.
